What is Carpet Bombing Exactly?
It's not what the media is telling you it is.

I keep hearing about how Israel is committing “genocide” against the “Palestinians” by employing “carpet bombing” against Gaza.
So what does carpet bombing actually mean? And why is the media using this term almost exclusively to describe Israel's defensive actions against Hamas and other “Palestinian” terrorists? Why have we not heard much about carpet bombings in Ukraine, Syria, or Yemen, for instance? Why did we not hear leftists and Muslims crying about the carpet bombing of ISIS in Iraq and Syria?

How many of these qualifications does the Israeli defensive operation meet?

The Israelis are NOT indiscriminately bombing large areas, instead focusing on precision strikes on known terrorist targets. Just because the terrorists are hiding in residential buildings, schools, and hospitals does NOT mean that the Israelis are indiscriminately targeting residential areas or civilian infrastructure as in actual carpet bombing.

The Israeli strikes cannot reasonably meet these conditions. They do NOT use dozens or HUNDREDS of planes to drop THOUSANDS of bombs on a single area. The supposed pictures of Israeli "carpet bombing" clearly shows buildings still standiing around the target. The only exception is pictures and videos of a strike on an entire terrorist base in a city in Northern Gaza. But even in this case, ONLY buildings housing terrorists or their war materiel were destroyed.

This speaks yet again to the INDISCRIMINATE nature of historical carpet bombings. The Israelis do NOT drop hundreds or thousands of unguided munitions on Gaza. There are countless videos of Israeli strikes, and they are almost always exceedingly PRECISE. When they say "many" this historically means THOUSANDS or even TENS OF THOUSANDS of bombs dropped on ONE city or area. This again does not compare to the Israeli operation.

The definition of carpet bombing has less to do with the AMOUNT of munitions dropped on an enemy and more to do with the INDISCRIMINATE and WIDESCALE destruction that is intended AND caused. Carpet bombings also historically targeted ONE city or area at a time, not a vast array of terrorist redoubts and tunnels hidden within and underneath residential civilian homes and infrastructure. The reason homes, schools and hospitals are being hit is because HAMAS is hiding in them, not because of indiscriminate Israeli carpet bombing.

While the IDF has dropped more munitions on Gaza targets since October 7th then the allies dropped on Dresden during the carpet bombing of that city, the disparate SCALE of destruction between these two areas is undeniable.

This is because there is a MASSIVE difference in the nature of these operations. The Israelis are targeting terrorists who use civilians as human shields, deliberately set up infrastructure, weapons caches, barracks, rocket launchers, and other materiel within or under civilian residences and infrastructure, and hide in miles of tunnels beneath houses, hospitals, schools, and government buildings. The Allies on the other hand, were in the later years of a TOTAL WAR scenario where demoralizing a nation that refuses to give up was the best option avaliable. Why is NOBODY on the anti-Israel side calling out the TERRORISTS for putting their own neighbors in danger?

The Israelis have used more munitions in two months in Gaza than in the Tokyo carpet bombing, but the amount dropped on Tokyo was in ONE night and destroyed nearly the ENTIRE city that held a significant percentage of the entire Japanese population.
“The following B-29s dumped over 1,665 tons of incendiary bombs on Tokyo that night. The napalm inside of the bombs devoured everything they touched. Each of the 279 B-29s bomb loads covered an area around 2,000 feet long by 300 feet wide.”

TWO HUNDRED and SEVENTY NINE bombers in ONE raid on ONE night in ONE city. Now THAT'S carpet bombing! Have you seen any Israeli bombings that compare to that?

When you call the Israeli defensive actions against genocidal TERRORISTS carpet bombing, you are using Muslim and leftist propaganda to mischaracterize the conflict in favor of the terrorists. When you call defensive actions carpetbombing and genocide, you are ultimately advocating for or defending terrorists, whether you frame it that way or not. When you call it carpetbombing you are intentionally misleading people about the nature of the operation, and giving creedence to terrorists who are using civilians for human shields and propaganda. And it's WORKING.

The media says "carpet bombing" and "genocide" in the same way that they call patriotic Americans and Europeans "white supremacists" and "fascists."
They KNOW it's not true. But they're hoping you're just either too dumb, or too busy to notice. It is NOT reporting the news. It is a DELIBERATE attempt to reframe the conflict in favor of the terrorists, and to demonize Israel and the Jewish people. Nothing more or less. There is ZERO reason for them to label these strikes as carpet bombings outside of greed and malice. There is NO carpet bombing in Gaza. There is NO genocide either. How could it even be considered genocide when the “Palestinians” are surrounded by TENS OF MILLIONS of culturally, ethnically, genetically and religiously IDENTICLE people all around them? I'm OBVIOUSLY not in favor of killing the “Palestinians”. I just want people to be HONEST about what is happening. Killing terrorists is NOT genocide, and bombing terrorist positions is NOT carpet bombing. You can call it bombing and killing all you want. At least that's ACCURATE.

PRECISE language and ACCURATE information is CRUCIAL to the information war. We shouldn't call defensive actions genocide when they're aimed at murderous terrorists. We shouldn't call airstrikes on terrorists carpet bombing because it doesn't meet ANY of the criteria. The bombings by Israel are NOT indiscriminate, do NOT target civilians or civilian infrastructure, do NOT involve the destruction of an entire city or neighborhood (other than terrorist headquarters, barracks, launch sites, weapons caches, etc.), do NOT involve hundreds of planes OR thousands of bombs in one run, and do NOT involve the use of unguided munitions dropped in an indiscriminate manner on a wide area. So STOP calling it carpet bombing and STOP calling it genocide when you know it's not true.
